Big Country's Empty Bottle formed with the chance meeting between guitarist & singer, Adam Petty, and guitarist, Sam McAteer, circa 2006. The two soon started jamming together and immediately connected musically. Shortly after the meeting they began writing a few original tunes, playing good ol rock & roll covers, as well as picking some favorite traditional bluegrass classics. The two began their bluegrass pilgrimage with no more aspiration than campfire picking., but it wasn't till they where introduced by a friend to Mr. mandolin, Jonathan Keeney, when the idea of a band started. The three had some great vibes together and started playing around at local coffee shops soon after. A few months pass by, and Keeney introduces the band to the much need bass man, Will Ross. With Will's thumping bass riffs, the band really started sounding great. The four musicians come from completely different musicalbackgrounds, but they have seemed to find a nice little nitch in this diverse Knoxville scene
Hey Big Country’s Empty Bottle , Thanks for showing me some myspace love. If you get a chance check out the artist I have been working with. I love feedback. Oh yea.....its rated PG13 music.
Adam I was shocked to hear how great you can sing. Who knew that when you got the guitar when you were little that you would have your own band now. We are proud of you!
