ONE OF THE FEATURED EVENTS AT BIG DAY OUT IS RAG'N'BONE'S PANDAEMONIUM SUMMONS THE BEAST OF BRACKNELL
Supported by Oxford Contemporary Music and Bracknell's Council's Recycling Unit and Produced by Simon Cahatterton, the performance will be built in the weeks beforehand entirely out of re-cycled materials.
The story of the BEAST happened like this........
Something is stirring down at the dump. There’s a groaning and a creaking; a stretching and a scrunching down in the dark heart of the mountains of waste.
Out of the seas of rubbish, new life is forming, the off spring of redundant computers, wrecked cars, old computer games, cast off plastic, discarded toys and lost dreams.
A rotten alchemy is at work in those filthy mounds, and here it comes, trembling and shuddering out from the murk and the muck, …..
The beast the beast!
Pandaemonium & The Beast of Bracknell Forest are the first shows by ‘Rag and Bone’, a pool of artists and performers seeking to breathe new life into British festive and processional traditions.
PARTICIPATION
The show offers great opportunities for local schools and community groups to get involved. The festival could be sending an artist to your school to do workshops

In 2008, Big day Out also goes back a week, to the weekend of July 12 2008 - so put it in your diary!
Furthermore, we are already on the hunt for new performers, particularly those who can perform outdoors
in a totally acoustic setting (that rare beast!) - check out the blog links above for more.
Environmental games and activities for our environmental Green Field, and new ideas in out-door live art are also welcomed.
Do let us know what you have to offer, on festival@southhillpark.org.uk
But most of all we welcome you and your free spirit!
