Just A Dog: From time to time people tell me, Lighten up, its just a dog, or That’s a lot of money for just a dog. They don’t understand the distance traveled, time spent, or cost involved for JUST A DOG. Some of my proudest moments have come about with JUST A DOG. Many hours have passed with my only company being Just A dog and not once have I felt slighted. Some of my saddest moments were brought about by Just A Dog. In those days of darkness, the gentle touch of Just a Dog provided comfort and purpose to overcome the day. If you , too think its just a dog, you will probably understand phrases like just a friend, just a sunrise, or just a promise. Just a dog brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. Just a dog brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of Just a dog I will rise early, take long walks and longingly to the future. For me and folks like me its not Just a dog. It’s an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. Just a dog brings out whats good in me and deverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday people understand it not Just a dog. it’s the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being just a person. images

About me:

Big Dog Foundation is a non-profit corp. with a 501c-3 pending. The creation of Big Dog Foundation is for the sole purpose to prevent animal cruelity. “Love A Dog” . Some of the pictures are of our personal animals and companions. Others are the faces of dogs who need homes. As you browse our my space, please pay close attention to those dogs that need homes. Remember, these faces of these dogs that need homes. Encourage your friends and family to adopt a dog. "Their lives count on it. Please spay and neuter your dog." Do not promote or buy from puppy mills. Love A Dog. We need them and they need us. Big Dog Foundation- LOVE A DOG- Big Dog was formed out of a love for a big dog. The facts are, that most big dogs dropped off at shelters, never make it out alive. If you have a big black dog and it is dropped off at a shelter, most are never going to make it to a forever home. In some counties, your dog is put to sleep the moment you drop off your dog, due to over crowded conditions. Big Dog Foundation was started to prevent animal cruelty. To educate the public about the process of some shelters and the kill ratio these dogs face. These dogs face being gas to death, heart stick, and some have only 3 days from the time they enter the shelter. Our job here at Big Dog, is to post these dogs pictures, big and small and to alert the public, animal rescue groups , and the media of the urgency these dogs face. Some have only hours, some have days, but either way, every day in America, innocent healthy dogs are put to sleep. The old, the lonely, the sick never have a chance. Our society has created this problem and has sat back and allowed this to happen to these precious lives. The stats are at least 2 to 3 million DOGS are put to sleep every year. Some of there methods are beyond thought and are cruel. We need every person who reads this bulletin, to repost, forward and encourage your people in your communities, to save the life’s of these animals. We know we can’t save all of them, but, if you will reach out with donations, adopting a shelter or rescue pet and spay and neuter your animals, you will have done something. Look at the faces of these dogs and tell me that you can ignore the facts. I couldn’t!!! The facts are that money is needed for rescue groups to foster theses dogs. Transportation is needed nationwide. Medical care, educational programs, food, collars and that alike, is needed to change things and rescue these dogs. We cannot do it alone. Money that you donate will fund our operation and other rescue groups to create sanctuaries, foster homes and rescues groups, to be able to operate. No donation is to small to make a difference in these dogs life’s. Give us your email address and monthly, we will show you the faces of the dogs saved. On My Space alone, hundreds of dogs a week are saved by volunteers who post and repost the faces of urgent dogs who face days or hours before death. WE LOVE CATS TOO! Make no mistake, we love the cats too. But we had to focus on one area to make a difference. Please adopt a cat from a local shelter or that is seen online. Educate yourself about the breed that is right for your family. Stop the over crowding of these shelter’s by spaying, neutering your dog or cat. In final thought, why do we do this here at Big Dog Foundation. It is simple. The process is cruel, its sick, its wrong and its out of hand. It can’t be ignore. BIG DOG FOUNDATION-LOVE A DOG 1-864-356-3695 PLEASE MAKE A DONATION. DOG ARE STANDING BY WAITING FOR TRANSPORATION OUT OF KILL CENTERS. WE ARE BUYING A NEW PROPERTY TO HELP THESE DOGS. DONATION ARE NEED NOW. GO To www. PAYPAL.com NOW AND SEND TO BIGDOGFUND@MAIL.COM

Who I'd like to meet:

~ A Big Black Bear named Lou Lou ~

I see something weird and as I near .. oh my, its what I fear.

You ask, “What is so weird?”

A big black bear wearing a pink tutu. Her name is Lou  Lou.

She’s escaped from the traveling zoo. Oh, what am I to do?

She leaps in the air and all I do is stare.

Lou Lou has no care in the world. She’s rare.

Lou Lou spots me and asks, “Would you like tea?”

I say sure and she pours.

We have a good time I pretend I am a mime.

    Laughing, we hear a chime.

It’s the zoo owner, he flips me a dime....

    Saying,”Thanks for finding my bear.”

    “She’s rare.”

“See, she’s mine and it’s only fair

that I bring back to the show my bear.”

So Lou Lou in the pink tutu

goes back to the traveling zoo to entertain someone new. (Author unknown)

He he...Me wants to be pretty as the Big Black Bear and have no cares ... so I have my pretty pink tutu on!

    Hoppy New Ear, friend!

Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue is so excited, we only have TWENTY ONE bunnies left to spay and neuter, and we could REALLY use your help. We've got photos of those 21 buns on our "chip in" page, and we'd be SO honored if you'd consider making a donation so we can spay or neuter one of those bunnies. That bunny will send you a thank you card (signed personally!) and we'll update you on his or her surgery date. We're trying to get every single bunny done before the end of the month!

    Thanks always,

Kathy and the Little Miracles Bunnies
