I remember when Bob left. My friend Carey said I should get over there and try out. It was hard work to "almost learn" those songs. I can't beleive that was 1992, wow time flies. Anyways I didn't make the cut, and Darren joined. 15 years later and I still can't play like Bob. I'm glad Bob is back. I'm glad BDC is back.
I've been spinning all the BDC releases since hearing grumblings of a reunion earlier this year. I'm traveling to be at both Chicago shows. I know it's a longshot, but it sure would be AWESOME to hear BDC's rendition of "Celebrated Summer" in October.

a long time waiting, and well-worth it! The "Panzer division" thunder of the "hot corner"(er...Bob and Danny)is amazing; think of the scene in "Private Ryan" when the Tiger Tank is rumbling down the street...and the world is falling apart, and you'll get it. Mark uses his guitar like a flamethrower...bends,changes and slashes all over the place; I did'nt SEE any flames, but I HEARD them. Frank(no longer "the kid" more like "the captain")takes us all down memory lane with songs of saddness/betrayal/and caution; fingers pointing to make sure YOU are getting "it"(trust me-we got it).How do they do it? lyrics about the worst moments/realizations in life, turned into these up-beat,bouncy,songs that are the soundtracks to peoples lives. Time has moved on; but the "punch" they had is still there; still intact. If Dale can "man the bellows" I can shovel the coal...and the fire will continue...an amazing band that may, FINALLY- get the respect due.

I saw BDC two times in one week.. and each show was amazing. I am just glad to say I was there, and that the year I turned 40 BDC was a part of it. I raise my glass (of diet pepsi) to you guys, and hope that we'll meet again someday. My best to you and your families, and thank you for giving me faith in music.. again.
Howdy BDC, had lots of fun Saturday at Fitzies. Glad to see that time heals all wounds and that rock is the one of the top five resources on planet earth that we don't have to go to war for...we got plenty right here in Orange County (actually I'm a Costa Mesa man).
