Big E. (Rob McDorman) has been playing music sine the second time he saw the Monkees on his grandmothers television at the age of 9. Later he would help to bring his Jr.high School choir into second place in the Illinois State Choral Competition.
Some time later he eventually moved to Texas and after selling Dijderidus with Captain Jakes Big Blow he got involved with The Bilge Pumps via the Hawkwood Faire and The Scottish Caledonian Gamers.
Through out his time in Texas, E. found himself knee deep (as he's 7 feet tall) in the Celtic music scene performing and/or recording with some of the best local talent like Linda King, Brendanas Dream, Needfire and Rowan Moon as well as always showing up at the North Texas Irish Fest sessions.
The original inception of Hurricane Iggy was spawned in North Texas in 2002 when Big E. struck out to play a different sound of music that he loved so much, Tropical Rock.
Now with the help of a few close friends, Big E. and his backing band Hurricane Iggy as well as his original love of Celtic music which has now spawned The Humours of Whiskey and Clann an Ti ode sees the big man back on the road to music.
Keep and eye out as you may see Big E. pluckin' his bass, strummin' his guitar or banging a drum and always singin' songs from the heart with a good story or joke to go along!
Don't forget to join Big E.'s Fan Club!
Keep up with all the latest and greatest of everything Big E's up too.
