FILTERING OUT ALL THE CRAP ON THE INTERNET - Big Eye Network is an arts collective, non-profit organisation and promotional agent for North East England's independent creative talent. Operating from it's main website (relaunched in January 2009 and growing rapidly) BEN provides a free platform for artists, promoters, bands/musicians, organisations, writers and other collectives.
Currently online at the moment are the news, listings, opportunity and directory pages. All sections are updated several times a month. Contributions from anyone in the region are welcome via email.

On the 3rd October The Make and Mend Market will be hitting the Grainger Arcade, Nun Street, City Centre, Newcastle Upon Tyne (click for map here). From 9am - 5pm there will be 18 stalls offering handmde, 2nd hand and vintage items covering everything from fashion, homewares, art, jewellery and more.
