Bubba Cromer's Hometown Newspaper, The Free Times, just ran an arts feature story for the Thanksgiving Edition showcasing Bubba, his personal history & THE LONG WAY HOME: A BIGFOOT STORY
While one's "art"--whether it be in the form of a drawing or painting, a song, a book or poem, or a film like ours-- is always subjective and open to interpretation by the viewer, it's still unbelievably rewarding when a critic/writer hits home with the creator of that art.
WE JUST LEARNED THAT WE ARE THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2007 BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE OF THE ENTIRE NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!!
We just got back from our big New York Premier at the New York International Independent Film Festival last week!!! Thanks to all y'all who wished us well. While South Cackalackey ain't exactly the Big Apple, and the nickelodeon theatre doesn't look a lot like the east village cinema, we did damn well!
Our screening had dozens more folks than ANY of the other films screening at that time and the festival personnel could not believe the crowd we produced! ( of course it sure helped that a big handful of my legislative friends and family were in town and made the trip into the East Village for the event!) Major shout out to all y'all who came, by the way!

Synopsis
Down-and-out former Miami Herald reporter D.J. Galloway finds himself facedown at his favorite watering hole in Southbeach when, out of nowhere, flashing across the T.V. is a breaking news story about Bigfoot sightings in D.J.'s hometown of Indian Camp Mountain in North Carolina. In a moment of clarity, D.J. decides to pack it up and move home and begin reporting these outbreaks in an effort to resurrect his career, re-connect with his roots and potentially reveal the greatest story ever. This feature film has it all: A Bigfoot, of course, but also a character named "Cornbread", a snake handler, a drag queen, hundreds of dead chickens, and real salt of the earth southern locals who add a unique, gritty charm to a film you will be hard pressed to forget.
I hope you've seen the LIZARDMAN/BIGFOOT news story that has EXPLODED in South Carolina this year. Regardless, You'll know everything after watching this video. Hope you enjoy! Please don't forget to comment, rate & favorite if you like it!
