The Big Green Door Studio was established in 2004, in the normally peaceful village of Woolsery, North Devon. Since then, the secluded location has been home to many different recording artists and genres - from rock, to acoustic pop, to hip-hop. Whatever your style of music, I enjoy helping with all aspects of the recording - different bands and artists in the past have needed various levels of input, from ground-up composition for vocal artists to 'just hitting record' for bands who know exactly what they want. I can always offer session playing for drums, bass and guitar, as well as full recording and production facilities, for no extra charge as part of my standard service - I can also make a pretty mean cup of tea when needed.
I understand that in music, results speak for themselves - you can have a listen to tracks I've recorded and worked on right here on this site. If you're interested in recording, or have any questions (or even just fancy a chat), get in touch - I like to discuss what you're planning to get out of your recording so not only can we end up with a better result, but I can give you a realistic idea of how long it'll take. I always enjoy a challenge and fresh ideas - if you want a particular sound or want to try something a bit unusual, I'm game!
My standard charges are as follows:
10am-6pm: £160
6pm-10pm: £100
For projects that are already open, I can book individual 2-hour slots: £50
Any overtime is charged at £25 per hour.
If you book four days in a row, then I'll give you the fourth day's session for FREE! (equivalent to a maximum of 8 hours)
