Biggy Stardust and His Wretched Hive is a 4 piece punk outfit hailing from charlotte NC. Band members have been in numerous other projects including The Dead Kings, Tax Slave, Self Made Monsters, The Prostitutes, Carrion Bomb, and many more. They have decided to come together to form this so called "supergroup". The Wretched Hive songs are raw and in your face, but are very catchy so even the pop punk crowd can dig em. Whether he is singing about how shitty girls can be, or how much we love soccer moms, Biggy Stardust commands the stage. This is in your face punk rock, sometimes tight, sometimes loose(after moonshine) but always rockin and kickin ass!
About the recording. The songs you are hearing are true DIY. There was no studio, no producer, engineer, pedal boards etc.. This recording was done in a warehouse for the music tracks and the vocals were done in our drummer's apartment. We used 8 mics and a laptop with adobe audition. All music was recorded live in 1 to 3 takes with leads overdubbed to create a full sound. The guitars are simple, a cable into the guitar and then into the amp. No pedals, special effects or post production effects were used so what you are hearing is what you will here live. Thanks to John for his kick ass bass lines and his expert recording knowledge. We wish you well in antiseen.
