Sounds LikeWe are a live drum n bass jungle act who use no samplers everything is live no tricks. we are also a improvising ensemble playing off modes and grooves from around the world and references to jazz and funk history. Similar to the work of Miles Davis during the early 70s, and funk bands of the 80s.

for bookings and inquires please contact , bookings@gruntproductions.com www.gruntproductions.com 'the Big iota' are a live jungle dnb band who have performed together for nearly ten years, the band is a professional group who have released several albums (Rush 2008, Cafe Cairo volumes one and two and many solo and colabrative albums) and performed around the British isles. 'the Big iota' also perform soul funk and jazz classics with singer Sammy Martinelli. Sammy Martinelli studied under Mary King as a mezzo-soprano with the English National Opera as well as enjoying 8 years representing Great Britain with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, completing a 2 month world tour in 1999. She turned her attentions to Jazz and Soul in 2003 and now boasts a vast and versatile repertoire! Sammy has collaborated with the very talented Jazz/Funk/Soul band Iota - they are available for any gigs or functions such as weddings or office parties anywhere in Europe and would be happy to discuss any of your musical needs, whether classical or funky!
