About Big Jason James

I have been performing in and around the Northern Montana club scene for over 10 years. I am currently working with the "Soul'd Out" band at the Flamingo Lounge every Friday and Saturday night. I made 1 tour through Wyoming, Montana, The Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconson with the Marshal Jones Band. I also made a tour on the Carnival Fun Ship Celebration with the Debbie Fry Show. I am a singer/front man who plays bass and keyboards. I enjoy playing a variety of music from country to rock to classic rock. I grew up in a musicial family and have been involved in music my whole life. I was in the Helena Boys choir when I was 10-12 and was able to take a 10 day tour of Japan. We were also able to perform on stage with the late Tennesee Ernie Ford. My parents always listened to music and my influences are varied from the Weavers, Kingston Trio, and Peter, Paul and Mary that they listened to, to the Eagles, Quiet Riot, Restless Heart, Beach Boys and many others that I listened to growing up. Thank you to all of these bands for the influence on my musical life. I did attend 3 Years of school at the University of Portland and studied music education. I would like to thank Dr. Ken Klezinski for his guidence and support in music. I would also like to pass my sympathy on to the family of Dr. Phil Cansler another professor of mine who passed away on June 1st from cancer. He will be greatly missed.
