With a Ramones style "one, two three, four, " local psycho punkabillies Big Jeezus Truck bring you their latest slab of southern fried rawk.
Filled with odes to chicks, trailers, and booze this riff heavy record nearly captures the ear-pounding sound of their live set and ably demonstrates their vast improvement over the past couple of years.
I don't know how much these role-playing Ottawans know about San Antone, but when lead singer Slim Reaper shouts "Oh man belive me, you won't believe your eyes. Holy Lordee Jeezus there's a light up in the sky" on the yeehaa propelled UFO Rodeo. If he doesn't sound just like a good ole boy you can kiss my grits.

-"Good old fashioned Rock n' Roll never
goes out of style, it's just hard to find a group that plays it with reckless abandonment and competency.
Big Jeezus truck is that rare breed of band."
-"Big Jeezus Truck were the one band that made the most of The Bovines limited stage...Had they been born in U.S. Midwest they'd be legends by now.Alas they're from Ottawa eh?"

"We got Rockn'nRoll coming right at you, baby!'' promise the Big Jeezus Truck-ers And they are men of their word.Bedecked in black cowboy hats and shades, sporting handles like Slim Reaper
and Tom E. Hawk, and brandishing songs called Betty Machete and Curse of the UnDead Trucker, this Ottawa foursome specalizes in two-fisted,hard drinking fare that alternates between barn-burning roots-metal reminiscent of Supersuckers and swaggering,
crunching riiff -rawk inspired by Bon Scott-era AC /DC.
If it's too loud you're too sober."

Roaring out of the Great White North comes BIG JEEZUS TRUCK... Built in 1998 in the backwoods and scrapyards of Ontario, The TRUCK emerged with a turbocharged sound that mixes hardrock and countrypunk, that has been reviewed as “Johnny Cash meets Johnny Ramone”. Deliverance with a Marshall Stack. 1999 – BIG JEEZUS TRUCK released their first album, THE BIG HOOHAW, and soon developed a reputation for their intense live show. The band first received national exposure when producers of the adult animated series THE KEVIN SPENCER SHOW, having caught BIG JEEZUS TRUCK during their post-release tour, were smitten enough to write an entire episode around them: a first for a Canadian group. BIG JEEZUS TRUCK made their television debut as cartoons on the CTV and Comedy Networks. 2000- more roadwork……….including headlining at the world’s largest volleyball tournament before a crowd of over 22,000 slightly deafened but very satisfied attendees. 2001/2002 – BIG JEEZUS TRUCK wrote and recorded their second album THE CURSE OF THE UNDEAD TRUCKER. The band played several festivals, as well as showcasing at both Canadian Music Week and NXNE 2003 – yup, more roadwork………The music of BIG JEEZUS TRUCK was chosen for use in a racing game , COWBOYS AND ENGINES, designed by Fuel Industries.com 2004 – After the success of the videogame launch, BIG JEEZUS TRUCK was chosen for use in MAXIM Magazine, who are producing a TV pilot for the Speedvision Network. The Show, which entitled MAXIM”S SUPERCARS, will feature six BIG JEEZUS TRUCK songs. In addition, the band was granted funding from Videofact for their cover of CW MCCALL’s “Convoy” 2005 - BIG JEEZUS TRUCK finished production and released their third album, MECHANICSVILLE, to a sold-out crowd, and rave reviews. In October 2006 with addition of new drummer Cpt Killdrums, 2007 promises to be a busy year for the truck! this is where the rubber meets The road!! Spending the entire calendar year 2007 playing select shows throughout Ontario and Quebec, while working on their best effort yet, 2008's "LOVETASER". Featuring appearance's on local radio shows such as "Ottawa live music, and Crossing Boredom" also having feature articles in the Ottawa Sun, and Citizen. With the release of "LOVETASER" longtime bassist Mat Spag decided to step down, enter Beef Wellington. Early in 2009 the Truck has seen increased roadwork across Ontario with the release of their 5th Cd, as well as being named one of the top 10 unsigned bands in Canada by the Edmonton Sun. Returning to the Tweed festival this year, the end of the year calls for the Truck to cross an ocean and bring their brand of dirty rock n roll to European audiences for the first time, this is just the begining!
