Ah ha, I quit two weeks ago man... The owner told me no more hip hop at the start of the night, then 20 minutes into my set I was playing that Lou Donaldson track 'Who's Making Love', and the barmaid shouted at me to turn the music off. I did it thinking there was a fight breaking out or something, she then just goes " Yeah that song was shit". I had literally cut everything off so it was just silent, and she was there asking me to play "something like Footloose".
Yeah, I know I know, the first two are real short, but I'll step it up a bit with the next one. I'll keep you posted if you want.
But yeah, don't reckon the Dragon would fuck with CDJs, but wouldn't mind the Street. Right now I'm still fucking up a lot and building a collection, so playing somewhere where no-one's listening to you has its benefits...
Nice one, hope it don't disappoint you too much. I know what Alex means though, the first one is pretty commercial...
But yeah, the black market is baaad. I don't think there's one person in there who likes what I play. The barmaid shouted 'YOU'RE SHIT' at me last week in between songs. How's the artwork coming along? (That is such a bent way of asking)
ha yeah i was just there to see some work from mates at my old college, hastings. im at lcc now. yeah fuse is next door from hastings in bexhill. Some really nice work at the show, really impressed by brighton, nottingham trent and csm.
hiya. made it down yesterday to brompton hall, think it was soon after you'd gone. really impressed with the bournemouth stall. great to see your books, the watercolours for Bitches art are real nice, plus funny seeing my Moog dream interpreted into 2D!
Got a bit tired of so many visuals after a while, too much graphic design with mock adverts, would have prefered more illustrations.
Back to the positives, thanks for fine array of the postcards, the oval/heart shaped patchwork one is particularly pleasing. Look forward to seeing more of the work.
