We are Big Meat Records. We Love Music. Lots of it.
We like a nice mixture of genres, from Rock to Surf, Acoustic to Dance, and all in between.
Since starting in 2006 to release 'The Nurse Who Loved Me's debut re-release 'after the latest vandal attack!!', they have also released several singles, ablums and the New Nurse Mini Album.
2008 sees the release of Big Meats First Compilation CD & Podcast, as well as More Video Diaries, and Live Footage. April saw the release of 'The Nurse Who Loved Me's Mini Album 'Here, Again, Somewhere', their 3rd release on Big Meat Records.

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!

What's up Big Meat Records? Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. Your reflections bring happiness that rends naked glass. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. Your beauty is equal to the smoothness of a polished gem. Panoramic aromavision is the future. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. I desire to see life through your hallucinations so that they massage my viscera into an eternal state of turgid flux. You have not yet reached the height of your creativity. Transistors bridge where your vanity would never go. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. A starfish's lifelong hallucinations of gelatin pools and of actuaries floating upon the foam and reciprocal ohm. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure.

Press Reviews:
"NIXA possess a quality that sets them apart from other front runners on the alt/rock scene with perfect dynamics and incredible song craft. They bounce between gentle and aggressive in a single beat, tied with soaring harmonies and mesmerising stage presence. This band will find themselves being listened to by a wide audience, no doubts in both the alternative and commercial rock scenes" Alli Hodge, TotalRock Radio
"...done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock!" Marsha Shandur XFM
"Gutsy, melodic, and totally credible, Nixa deliver that refreshing breed of British rock that will fly off shelves and download sites." Dave Grenfell, FeedMe Music, Promoter of The Year 2008 Indy Awards
"One of the top 10 unsigned acts in the UK" Metro National Newspaper
Some news for you. T:M:H are through to the Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands FINAL on Saturday the 16th of May at the Rockhouse [formerly First Floor] in Derby!
We are all super excited as it would genuinely be a dream come true for me/us to play Bloodstock but the judges decision is of course heavily dependent on how much of a crowd we draw so we really do need your support more than ever *puppy dog eyes* if you only ever come to one T:M:H gig then please make this the one. even if rock or metal isn't your thing, please come along anyway and support me and my band because it would honestly mean so much. besides its something different and it would be fun to hang out and get messy!
As you may be aware we are auditioning bass players at the moment (apply within) but our previous bassist Stu is filling in..it is the last time you will see him on stage with us so its going to be a pretty major night for us..would be nice to have you there thanks and muchhh loveth.
