Big Moon is a hard rock quartet determined, above all else, to write heartfelt and engaging music. Risen from the sordid underbelly of Bridgeport, Connecticut in late 2007, the band is an amalgam of diverse genres- alternative rock, metal, punk, and jamband. Their sound is alternately soaring and crushing, groovy and melodic. The band recorded their highly anticipated debut EP “Not Specifically, But Basically Yeah” at Carriage House Studios (Pantera, Deftones, Pixies) in Stamford, CT in the fall of 2008. The album was released in March of 2009. Big Moon has been relentlessly gigging across Connecticut since their inception, and has been featured at such distinguished venues as Arlene’s Grocery in NYC and the 2009 Gathering of the Vibes. They can currently be found rocking a club or bar in a town near you.
