Sounds Like
Nothing you've ever seen or heard ...!!! Presenting evenings that are NOT BORING - but DEFINITELY FUN ... oh yes, poetry can be fun!
In 2000, BIG MOUTH was set up as poetry promoters and collective in order to nurture and support new performance poetry talent in the South West. Big Mouth Cabaret began as a monthly showcase of local talent plus guest poets including Rosie Lugosi, Chloe Poems, Diké Omeje, James Quinn, Attila The Stockbroker, Phil Norton, Rob Gee, Steve Tasane, Peter Hunter, Pete Brown, Paul Stones, and many many others. We wanted new and emerging poets to have the thrill of being on the same stage as poets at the top of their game. And, to add extra fun to the evenings our resident house band was Bucky! Big Mouth runs the poetry tent at Bristol's Ashton Court Festival and is holding its second extremely successful Big Mouth Master Classes in Performance Poetry which helped launch the poetry careers of Byron Vincent, Poetry Jack, and Mo The People's Nun. Rosemary Dun is a performance poet, writer and tutor, and Tom Phillips is a performance poet, journalist, and writer. They both live in the beautiful city of Bristol.
Thank you so much for accepting me as a friend; I feel like I've arrived. Also, please direct your pals to www. mucusart. co. uk/wap. htm where they can preview my latest book. Ta.
Hey Rose, Thanks for the add. I think I saw you at The Ashton Court Festival this year. All a little spaced out and the rest. We are all in mourning for it.
It's a privilege and a pleasure to meet you and to learn about your poetry collective. TWiN is itself an accidental collective of sorts and we are trying to find our way through the maze of suggestions and individual expectations.
We would be grateful for your input and ideas as to ways in which we can be more useful to other poetry collectives and to individual poets and spoken word artists.
Please feel free to use our profile to post notices about your upcoming events.
