Legend Entertainment is fast
becoming one of the leading entertainment entities in Chicago. Founded in 1997, primarily as a rap label, it is quickly expanding to include R&B, Gospel, film and video production, graphic design for in-house and non-label affiliated artists, promotion and advertising, gaming, publishing, and various other ventures including merchandising and licensing. The companies' mantra is simple; to provide quality entertainment and services for the people that demand them.
LEGEND ARTISTS
Here is an overview of some of the featured acts on the label.
LORD NASTY-
As the C.E.O. of the label, Lord Nasty's responsibilities extend far beyond just the music. Nasty combines street savvy and business skills to drive this label to new heights, and this shows in his music as well. Nasty has three albums slated for release,'The GREEDY Fat Pig', 'Federal Inmate' and 'The Devil Himself', as well as the first volume of the 'Gangsta Getty Mix tape Series'. These uncompromising works come together to give a clear view of the man and his vision of street reality.
LOMAI-
As C.O.O., Lomai brings the attention to detail that informs his position in the company to his music as well. His album, 'Stranglewood:Episode Four - Secret Decoder Ring', touches on subjects never before brought to the medium of hip hop, and is expressed in clear and precise language that appears simple, but is deceptively and shockingly complex. Lomai also has a mix tape called 'The Stranglewood Chronicles' slated for release along with his ground-breaking album.
JITU THA JUGGANOT-
He as imposing physically as he is in his music. Jitu, the Chicago legend and founder of the group Ten Tray(the first rap group signed out of Chicago)has joined forces with Legend to bring us his latest opus, 'Necessary Ingredients'. This album features the powerful single, 'Our Story', and is the perfect vehicle to take into the Jugganot's substantial agenda, which is to uplift children. Jitu is a gifted community organizer, and we at Legend are proud to support his Our Story campaign.
TITAN aka BIG CLASH-
Taking his name from the Greek gods, Titan brings unparalleled artistry to his role as producer and d.j. for Legend Entertainment. His music will help to redefine urban culture, and his e.p., 'The Weight', will make him sought after for years to come.
AZTEC DINERO-
Aztec seeks to become one of the few Latin hip-hop artists to have respect as a lyrical force, and his new album, 'Less Friends, More Money', will cement his place in history as one of the finest to ever do it. His impassioned stories of his experiences will move you like no other. Aztec also hopes to expand to other genres, such as reggeaton., and make his presence known and felt within this industry.
WITCHBOARD-
WitchBoard is the super group formed when Nasty, Lomai, Titan, and Aztec come together. This group embodies all of the appeal and artistry that most cannot attain in their lifetimes. Their new album, 'Anime', is set to be released, or in more telling words-detonated.
