It seems a lot of people are leaving Myspace so I've set up a bunch of other music-based profiles... if you want to keep track of what I'm up to you can follow me or fan me or whatever it is those sites encourage. Come and say hi!
I'll still be here too of course, if this is your social networking venue of preference.
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that my new EP, "Something Worth Keeping", is now available on iTunes. Follow the link below to check out my two new songs!
Okay, so I tried to call like 3 times to say happy birthday, but things kept happening and I couldn't stay on the phone long enough to leave a message, so here it is. Happy belated birthday!
Follow me through a city of frost-covered angels
I swear I have nothing to prove
I just want to dance in your tangles
To give me some reason to move
But to take on the world at all angles
Requires a strength I can't use
So I'll meet you up high in your anger
Of all that is hoping and waiting for you..
scrape your knee; it is only skin...
makes the sound of violins
when you cut my hair, and leave the birds the trimmings
I am the happiest woman among all women
and the shallow
water
stretches as far as I can see
knee-deep, trudging along
a seagull weeps; "so long"
I'm humming a threshing song
until the night is over
hold on!
hold on!
hold your horses back from the fickle dawn
I have got some business out at the edge of town
candy weighing both of my pockets down
'til I can hardly stay afloat, from the weight of them (and knowing how the common-folk condemn
what it is I do, to you, to keep you warm
being a woman, being a woman)
but always up the mountainside you're clambering
groping blindly, hungry for anything:
picking through your pocket linings - well, what is this?
scrap of sassafras, eh Sisyphus?
I see the blossoms broke and wet after the rain
little sister, he will be back again
I have washed a thousand spiders down the drain
spiders ghosts hang soaked and dangelin'
silently from all the blooming cherry trees
in tiny nooses, safe from everyone
- nothing but a nuisance; gone now, dead and done
be a woman, be a woman!
though we felt the spray of the waves
we decided to stay 'til the tide rose too far
we weren't afraid, 'cause we know what you are
and you know that we know what you are
I'm a 20 year-old leo that is attempting to discover the deeper depths of the universe through severe trial and error.
I'm an only child, and with my moon in cancer, my mars in aries and a few other things I'm a very quirky person. I don't understand myself, let alone understand what anyone else understands about me.
I work at Ruby Tuesdays. I can do anything there, and when school's not in session I pack in the hours doing everything from salad bar to server, expo to cook. I know the place too well but, the majority of my restaurant rocks like nobody's business (employees and managers alike really) so I can't complain.
I take classes at UT Knoxville, majoring in music and psychology. I'm taking it slowly right now just because I'm sick of school and trying to build a life up around it without excluding it entirely.
I have way too much free time, and have a crazy obsession with japanese culture...Anime, manga, food, music, the launguage... It's an addiction, I swear!
..
I find astrology quite interesting, and I hate people that judge. I use to be a practicing wicca, but I have no faith in myself let alone in anything else, so I just trust that something is doing something and often I ponder and curse it when things go a certain way.
I tend to stay to myself for the most part, but I'm polite in a weird sort of way. I don't have many friends, but that's just part of me being weird I suppose. What friends I do have I care for very deeply and would do almost anything for.
I play capoeira on occasion and listen to bands that only the super cool people know about as well as many other different types of music. Mm hmm.
Actually, I was kidding about that last part. Mostly because I hate people that say that. Music is music. Love what you love. Whoo, party.
Besides my musical taste I'm not interesting at all. I sit around watching obscure movies and anime, listening to music, playing cello, editing layouts, sometimes I talk to people. The main thing is sitting around though, and that's just because I'm lazy and can find nothing better to occupy my mind.
..
Music, music, music... Capoeira, astrology, psychology, sociology, theory, Japanese culture, life.

Awesomely enough, all the obscure books I read as a child are now being turned into movies and I'm hella excited. Examples are The Golden Compass, Chronicles of Narnia, Ella Enchanted (though I hear that movie sucked and didn't bother to watch it) and now The Seeker. I'm so excited!
Heroes
..The inventor of the cello, and everyone that went out to change the world and succeeded (for better or for worse)
