Zydeco is the soundtrack of life in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas. It represents the hardworking people of the area and our love for good food, good times, and most of all, good music. It's the sound that gives texture to our way of life and helps us express ourselves.
Throughout the history of Zydeco, bands have been led by men who were in many ways larger than life. Talented, Charismatic, and Dedicated to this genre of music. From Clifton Chenier to Beau Jocque to BooZoo Chavis, these men of the people all brought Zydeco to a higher level of recognition and acceptance.
A new voice is now making his mark on Zydeco and people are taking notice. Josef 'Big Red' Arline has, in a short time, made his claim to being part of the next wave of Zydeco Ambassadors. With his critically acclaimed debut release Secret Ingredients, Big Red has shown the Zydeco world that he is a force to be reckoned with, and that he won't stop until he has reached the top.
