Robert “Big Rob” Compean a San Antonio born and raised rapper/producer, is no stranger to the rap scene. At the age
of 11, little did he know, what he was doing in his room, rapping to the end of UGK beats, would be the career he
would pursue later on in life.
At the age of 17 he became involved with a local San Antonio rap group known as The Underground Committee. It
was then that he would start to establish a name for himself in the San Antonio rap scene. The Prophecy was the first
album released under Last Hour Records, which was the first album Big Rob was featured on. As the popularity grew
for the group, so did Big Robs passion for the rap game. In 2001, Last Hour Records would release the second
Underground Committee album called Fo Da Profit. This album made an impact on the local rap scene more than
anyone expected it to. It was at the sametime that Big Robs life would be impacted as well by being incarcerated for
a drug ralated offense. He knew it was time for a change!
While working on the third and final Underground Committee album, Big Rob made the decision to leave Last Hour
and start his own company, Revenue Records. Knowing that all he could do is plan for the future and leave the past
behind him, Big Rob has released 2 albums under his own company which have did exceptionally well from an
independent stand point. Opening up for major acts like Baby Bash, Frankie J, Big Moe, Lil Flip, SPM, Lil Webbie just
to name a few, have enabled him to expose himself more than just the normal underground artist. Not only has he opened for
established artist at shows, he has also produced tracks that other established artist have featured on; artist like 50/50 Twin,
Lucky Luciano, Juan Gotti, Rasheed of Dope House Records to name a couple.
After upgrading the studio in December of 2005, Big Rob has worked on perfecting his production and lyrical talents
before releasing his newest album. Now with all the time and effort that hes invested in the the music scene, Big Rob will
be releasing his Third album Big Rob “This Is My Life”. The album is a reflection of what his drive and passion are for his
music. “Not only does this album sound good but it looks good”, Big Rob spoke of the new album. Since he began
Revenue Records he has alwayz believed in doing things the right way and doing things in a professional manor. Now that
the label has grown and has been able to acheive greater hieghts, he looks forward to what the future will bring to the label
he built, the name he represents, and the city he loves.
