  • Bio

"...whenever I've been over to Europe on vacation, I've usually left feeling we're kinda lucky in the States with the talent we can get to see for a few dollars in even the most low-down roadhouse. I came back from my latest trip with a very different attitude, having got to see a new four-piece rock 'n' roll band in Edinburgh, U.K. called The Big Shapes. They're not so easy for me to talk about, as every freakin' band dying a death on the internet hollers about their rockin' tunes and how they're the best thing that's ever happened to ya', so where do I start? What do you say to people about talent you just don't get to see everyday? The Big Shapes can REALLY play and can make you feel things you'd forgotten you ever thought about. In a world overrun with lightweight contenders and their dumb hipster drinking buddies, meet the new Scottish Heavyweight Champions - The Big Shapes! Check these dudes out at thebigshapes.com or, they told me over a few beers, you can buy their material on iTunes from 07/09/11. (If you're reading this, I hope I got that right, guys!) Sure, going to Great Britain to see these guys is beyond the means of most folks, but would they be worth the time and airfare? Hell, yeah!" - Dexter Alden, New Hampshire Music Week, 9th June 2011.
