2009 Main Stage Line Up....
This year’s headliner band, Jars of Clay is making their second appearance at Big Splash. “Jars of Clay has sold more than six million albums, won three GRAMMYS, headlined thousands of sold-out shows and festivals, and successfully launched the Blood:Water Mission, a non-profit organization promoting clean blood and water in Africa. Since the band’s debut single, “Flood,” astonishingly topped both the mainstream and CCM charts, Jars of Clay has built an extraordinary career based on the uncompromising integrity of its music, worldview, and humanitarianism.”
Also making there second appearance at Big Splash, “Word Records power pop-punk band Stellar Kart has a mission ... to connect with youth and to teach them about Jesus Christ in a way that they can relate to. The band has worked tirelessly to encourage high schoolers to go all out for God. After three releases, they can safely say "mission completed." They don't just entertain our youth; they connect with them.“They’re responsive to our music and lyrics because we just came through that period ourselves,” says Agee. “Stellar Kart is definitely geared toward youth group kids because that’s where we got our start.”
Making his first trip to Federal Way to play at Big Splash, part singer, songwriter, producer, and vocal arranger, Canton, a Deerfield Beach, Florida native has entertained over 300,000 people this year, sold nearly 50,000 units independently, and has several songs including "Love Song" and "Stay Saved" in regular rotation internationally. His unlimited repertoire, massive crowd appeal, and fast-growing fan base has set him on a course destined to challenge the genre of gospel music as we know it.
Amber Pacific began as a trio of high school juniors who performed locally in their Federal Way hometown, near Seattle. They participated on the Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Amber Pacific also had a hit song on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
And last but defiantly not least. This years opening band, the second of the two local bands this year, with three years under their belt, Seattle-based Alternative Rock band New Heights released their second EP 'Worlds' this past June 08'. The EP draws on issues bigger than anything the band has ever sung about expressed bassist, Chris Kwak. "We wanted to write songs for this album that would move our audience towards a cause so much bigger than ourselves." The band's first single 'We Are The Ones' is a message of that same urgency and responsibility that is brought to its listeners.

We had so much fun playing in the rain!!
That was the most METAL show we've ever done!
