MISS MOLLY DALE is the Playboy’s featured “Girl Singer” with torch songs to melt your heart and make you wish you were in love. In fact, you may fall in love just listening to her.
One thing for sure, you will love THE POSSUM PLAYBOYS!!!
FOR THE PAST THIRTY YEARS I HAVE BEEN A PLAYWRIGHT/COMPOSER
working with the internationally known Appalachian company, ROADSIDE THEATER. I have written a dozen plays and co-authored another half-dozen in collaboration with other playwrights and musicians. In addition to that I have played with musicians throughout the country---- Zuni singers and drummers in New Mexico, jazz and cajun artists in New Orleans, El Teatro Pregones and Puerto Rican musicians from the Bronx in New York City.
MY PLAYS HAVE BEEN PRODUCED AND PERFORMED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD and I have toured and performed in wonderful small towns and large festivals throughout America---Lincoln Center Festival, NYC, Smithsonian, NYC and Washington, Sweden, Denmark, British Isles (Britian, Wales, Ireland), Czech and Slovakia Republics, off-Broadway in NYC several times--but more importantly, I have come to appreciate all kinds of music; I have gained respect for the wonderful musicians of this world, and I have made great and lasting friendships.
THOUGH I HAVE TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD I have never strayed too far from the roots music of my home in the mountains of Appalachia. My work is steeped in the traditions of Old Regular Baptist singing, storytelling, family bands, and joyous musical community gatherings.
I HAVE ALWAYS RECORDED AND PRODUCED CDS but it is live performance that I truly love--- live performance is where ALL the elements of culture, story and music come together.
AS WELL AS SINGER/SONGWRITER/CD WORK AND PERFORMANCE WITH ROADSIDE THEATER for the past few years I have been the musical director for a concert of coalmining music. These songs, taken from an award winning 2CD collection called "MUSIC OF COAL" which I helped produce for Lonesome Records, celebrate the lives of coal miners (like my Dad) and their families in Central Appalachia.
MORE RECENTLY, I WAS THE PRODUCER FOR THE CD, "APPALACHIA; MUSIC FROM HOME" which was featured on the PBS film series "Appalachia: A History Of Mountains and People" ---(www.lonesomerecords.com)
IN ADDITION TO MY WORK AS A PERFORMER AND PRODUCER I have started a new band called "THE POSSUM PLAYBOYS! In what I, lovingly, call my "THIRD TRIMESTER" of life, I have decided to play the music of my first two trimesters. It is music that has changed the face of American Culture and has been the soundtrack of my life. It is music from the "Garden of Eden" periods of American music---where all musical forms were being created and finding their true identity, before "labels" were more important than the joy of music!!
THE POSSUM PLAYBOYS ARE KEEPING ALIVE AND VIBRANT THE TRADITION OF BANDS THAT ONCE TRAVELED THE BACKROADS OF APPALACHIA AND RURAL AMERICA playing music that pleases and satisfies the eternal human longing for dance and fun!
FEATURING TWIN FIDDLES AND ACCORDION The Possum Playboys play a lively mix of APPALACHIAN/ROCKABILLY/SWING/WITH A BAYOU FLAVOR--guaranteed to set feet tapping, hips swinging and smiles glowing!!

About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D ~ Dee ~
