Big Tent Camping - We’ve responded to the excellent feedback and rightful criticisms of our campers last year and brought the organisation back under our own control. We are very confident then that you will notice a huge difference in both the organisation and the facilities and utilities on offer! New for 2009 are a designated family area and a handy camp shop and café. You will be delighted to learn that we have also ‘upgraded’ the essentials, adding ‘hot’ shower blocks and toilet facilities.

About me:

The Big Tent is Scotland's Largest Eco Festival, a family event packed with great activities, brilliant music and mouth watering food. It is the annual gathering place for communities across Scotland who care passionately about the future of the planet.

Who I'd like to meet:

ShoogelniftyStalwarts of the Scottish folk and fusion "acid croft" scene,‘Shooglenifty’ are one of the first bands to be confirmed as headliners on the Big Hullabaloo main stage. Shooglenifty are one of the foremost groups in the 'cool Celt' genera and a busy energetic career lasting ten years has seen them whipping up crowds into a rave-like frenzy from Bombay to Sydney! Glasgow’s Attic Lights have also taken the pledge and will perform on the Big Hullabaloo Stage this summer. Fresh from recording the theme tune on the forthcoming new series of Minder, which is broadcast on channel FIVE, Attic Lights have been described as Scotland’s next big indie–rock band. The five-piece have signed a five album deal with legendry Island Records and toured last year with their chums The Fratellis. 2008 was a busy year and the band added many new fans following a well received appearance up the road at T in the Park. They are managed by Teenage Fanclub's Francis MacDonald. Further good news is that Dundonian satirical songster, some say national treasure Michael Marra will join Mr McFall’s Chamber on stage for an intriguing collaboration which was fuelled after a short two song get together last year. Michael Marra is widely acclaimed as one of Scotland's most talented and original songwriters, a much loved entertainer with a gravelly voice and all the wit, timing and poise of a seasoned stand-up.
