A Bigtrep mostra em suas músicas não só a irreverência e vitalidade de suas duas principais influências: o rockabilly e o psychobilly, mas flerta com vários outros estilos que estiveram presentes na formação musical de seus membros, sempre em busca de uma sonoridade própria.
É possível escutarmos ecos dos velhos blues das décadas de 30 e 40 (Jonh Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf,...); dos precursores do rock no Brasil da década de 50 (Albert Pavão, Tony Campello, Wilson Miranda, Demétrius, Luizinho e seus Dinamites,...); contribuições dos anos 60 com o rhythm’n’blues (Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett,...), as 60’s garage bands (The Sonics, Trashmen, The Seeds,...) e a jovem guarda (Roberto e Erasmo Carlos, Eduardo Araújo,...) e do punk rock (The Clash, Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Damned, 999,... ).
O resultado deste “cocktail” é um som calcado no passado sem cair no saudosismo, ciente do presente e de olho no futuro.

Since 1986 two cousins and a couple of friends have been playing rock'n'roll in tropical lands. Based in RIO DE JANEIRO they put together a sour cocktail mixing their main influences (rockabilly and psychobilly) with other rockin' rhythms that made their minds as teenagers like 60's garage bands, the old school punk-rock and the first brazilian rockers from the 50's (Albert Pavão, Tony Campello, Wilson Miranda, Demétrius, Luizinho e seus Dinamites to mention a few). Most recently their are playing around BRASIL (in festivals like Psycho-Carnival and Psycho-Fest in Curitiba, B.H. Rumble in Belo Horizonte) and Argentina too (B.A. Stomp in Buenos Aires). These festivals incresead the scene in the last years brought to life several new local bands giving the oportunity to bands from all over the world like Batmobile, The Monsters Demented Are Go and Guitar Wolf make their first live appearences in the tropics.
