Just me, a man who likes to be thought of as 'slightly dodgy', but isn't.
Influences
too many and varied to mention, and growing all the time as I find new artists on the tinterweb to worship (you know who you are). I really really like:
Zero 7, Ben Folds, Morcheeba, ELO, 80's electro and electropop, 90's house and rave music, Hybrid, Adam F, Pendulum, Hi Contrast, Tin Gods, Boards of Canada, Air, Opeth, and pretty much everything else ever except Country and Western (sorry cowboy).
Sounds Like
All sorts. There's lots of influences, but I have no clue how to compare it to others. How about you decide and then tell me.
Big Wheel's Showcase
Hallo and welcome to my myspace an ting.
Big Wheel is an eclectic mix of electronica styles from DnB to house, trip-hop to pop. It started in February 2006 and is now 21 tracks in with a few remixes here and there. I take influences from all over the place, but my one great love is pianos, which are awesome. I am an accomplished keyboardist, having spent nearly nine years playing live with Preston indie-rock 'legends' (lol) Tin Gods, and I've been pootling around with keyboards and sequencing for almost as long as I can remember. Big Wheel is just at the beginning of being converted into a live act, and I have some amazing musicians involved, so some time in late 2008, we'll be hitting stages with our own brand of pop funktronica. Watch this space. If you like what you're hearing here, I am up for remix work. You can get me at theonlyrealdave@hotmail.co.uk . Drop me a line.
Cool.
