About me:
Once stood on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro and watched the sun rise; spent a week in Iceland relaxing in hot springs and drinking $10 beers; rode a bike through the Czech Republic with a former Olympic cyclist; worked as a professional wrestler once and got a black eye; wrote a book on mountain biking in West Virginia; performed in a water ski show as pyramid climber; petted giant sea turtles off the coast of Zanzibar; met Lance Armstrong before he was famous; mountain biked in Australia with cool locals who'd never heard of the Outback Restaurant; have raced in the 24 Hours of Canaan/Snowshoe races 8 times; am 6th cousin of Clint Eastwood; got lost riding my bike in the Moab Desert and had to spend the night sleeping on a rock; got drunk in Prague with my parents and watched my mom dance on a stripper pole; had an article published in Mountain Bike Action Magazine; once lived in California but missed the seasons; got hit by a motorcycle head-on while riding my bike and survived; have watched all of the Star Wars movies a zillion times; am part-bad-ass-bikin' bitch-part soccer mom; work in my dream job teaching media studies at a small university; never miss an episode of Grey's Anatomy or Heroes; i love professor danger; spend every Wednesday night with my girlfriends eating pizza and drinking Modelo's and UFO's (my new fave beer); plan on doing more adventure triathlons this summer; proud graduate of Ohio University; Bobcat fan plus Mountaineer fan; like the Browns and Steelers; think my kids, Darth T and Princess K, are the coolest kids on earth; have a snoring shih-tzu named Rudy; collect philosophy books but really enjoy reading People Magazine; truly feel the Amies & Sarah are my sisters, along with my best friend since 3rd grade -- Jenny -- who lives in Arizona on the Mexican border; love spending weekends biking at Snowshoe (especially 6000 Steps and Upper/Lower Beaver Dam); recently spent a week in Central America where I held a stingray, slept with a tarantula and sang some very drunken karaoke!
