We all play instruments which are fairly professionally made out of wood and work reasonably well. However, we have no sponsors because we're not sell-out bastards.
Influences
Punk rock bands, Cherry cake, Generic Brand Energy Drinks, Strongbow, Nieces, Too much sex, Lack of sex, Talking about donkey sex and sex in general, Old ghostly men who own practice rooms, a van called Lilly & the attempt to overly impress each and everyone of you.
Sounds Like
punk rock that could only be made in billericay. Meaning it sounds like a badgers tail being stepped on by bastards.
Crackin'
Songwriting duo Faz and Grim met in a hazy autumn some time ago, and after expressing feelings decided to generate a punk band the likes of which had never been seen, a Bilbo punk rock supergroup. Late nights, they plotted and decided the only way forward might be to buy guitars and roughly learn to play them. After much drinking they decided that the band needed other more talented members and got a hairy man, a ginger man and a good looking man (make your own mind up on them categories, it’s a rough ride at the best of times) The newfound members also liked drinking and generally pissed everyone off with their smarmy comments and great dress sense. All 5 of us have the ability to shag your fat arsed tart you call a girlfriend, but in what order and who gets to swill the coffee water is the real question. Be warned we are deviants. And we still play punkrock songs an stuff... come to a gig, we’ll prove it!
We are subject to change, Billericay’s finest punk band provided you don’t count living nightmare or nothing in return. We play punk rock that’s somewhere between good riddance, belvedere and strike anywhere while not really sounding like any of those.
We have our debut EP ready called ’Still Unlearned’ and if you wanna see us in the raw with your eyes and everything you’ll have to go to a gig. Preferably one we’re playing.
If you don’t believe how good we are then check out these quotes:
’Faz looks like he’s in a ska band’ Sam Alexander, a tall chap who likes beer
’This band keeps me looking young and trim’ Simon Weston, Oil of Olay spokesperson
’Both you and Strung Out sound like boy bands’ Steve Norwood, gash faced oxygen thief
’Not enough beatdowns’ Mark Chaos, drumming joke
’I take my hat off to these guys who carry on doing what they feel they should even in the face of criticism. I know from my own life it takes enormous courage to do what, in your heart, you believe is right even when everyone else is criticising you.’ Peter Sutcliffe, celebrity
‘I dunno if it was Faz? It might have been Grimo…. But one of them little bastards stole my best leopard skin thong.’ Peter Stringfellow, B – list celebrity
’This band gets me through my shit filled life’ Morrissey, twat
’What a load of jumped up lefty, communist, fat cunts. Women need to be beaten from time to time’ Jim Davidson, professional scum
’If a man ain’t abusive to woman, he only half a man’ Peter Tosh, reggae man and female rights campaigner
‘Buy Reggae sauce mon, it’s well good’ Levi Roots, contestant on 'hit' BBC show, Dragons Den and self promoter of some kind of Jamaican ketchup
‘Ja, das ist Gut’ A solid quote from a German woman’s knitting magazine
We also had some photos taken by snaps at nemesis photography a while back. He’s definitely never pushed his girlfriend down the stairs, so check him out at www.npuk.net or just type in snaps on our friend list for top bollocks photos.
We can see you
get your cunts down to these upcoming events
Faz has also started his very own agony aunt type page where he can solve any issues or problems you may have. He specialises in anything to do with relationships and low self esteem. Check the crazed bear out at www.dearfaz.org.uk. This would be a proper link but i haven't worked out how to do it yet so if you've got a genuine problem copying and pasting it into the top bar shouldn't be too much of a struggle. peaceful journeys xxx
As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
