Bile Greene is a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter/guitarist who performs largely in bars & coffeehouses. (When he plays in his room at home he does so more smally.) He is perhaps best known as the front man for his band Hot Mango Chutney (1993-2001), but has also played lead guitar with bands like Toy Box, Blue Agnes, & the mighty Aviary.............................
Bile claims his music reminds him of someone burning alive while being held under water, but this sounds a bit fanciful to us. Maybe it is best to take Bile with a grain of salt....................
A note about the name Bile: the word 'melancholy' is an old greek word meaning 'black bile'. It seems that Bile is suggesting that therein lies some justification for his 'icky' name. On other occasions, he has shrugged it off as a misspelling on his birth certificate. A slippery fellow, this Bile Greene.
nothing is deep it all resides within the careless breeze and deepness or even the materialisation of layers is a facade created to bury unification...
there are a lot of ideas i like better than the actual finished parts--have you ever had this sensation?
Well, well well Bill-how have you been this summer? Parties in the backyard with sunshine in the icy drinks? Making any new songs. I think you should go on a "visionquest" and write a song about thirst...
I love you Mr. Greene. Your comments and witisismsms-ismes are the very things on which I am composed. I'm glad the wind from that silly city blew you back to the rancid streets of our humble burg.
it was so great to visit and see you! hopefully I'll be back in town soon, and without the box of tissues by my side.. ha! your always welcome up these parts if the mood should strike you!
hahaha you have no iidea-only they are all me-fragments of my soul-a many windowed house that changes its mind about where to lay foundation-how does it not blow apart and the line between window and world becomes through a glass darkly-but never does...Changing monikers here is what makes this place fun for me sometimes....I must admit so it may be contrived but in a different spirit than one might think-contrived and constructed for amusement and exploration-
holy cow dude i think ill be in your city on july 17th or 18th, thanks to the magical powers of megabus. we should play a show together. by 'we', i mean bile greene and me, damn kid.
The train ride somg has lots of nice feelings like spacement three on a trainride day with some sun-I love it-say have you any cosmic mummy wraps? Not that the cosmic band aid was not good for starters but something needs to close the gap....
hello Mr. Greene- thanks for the comment. always nice to know that something you made is being enjoyed by somebody somewhere. do you have the 2nd Wayward Wind CD? (Wait for Green, 2005) if not, send me a message with your mailing address and I'll send you one. you'll be doing my basement (currently filled with 1000s of self-released items) a favor. sorry for the late reply, I've been keeping a very low internet profile these days. thanks Rick
