Bill Bartholomew is a singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Brooklyn, NY. He is known as a member of the band The Golden Age of Transit and also as a solo artist and collaborator. In mid-2011, Bartholomew formed... The Golden Age of Transit with singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Klym. The duo recored and self-released an EP in August and expanded to a four-piece following the completion of a second EP in November 2011, adding vocalist Gabriela Rassi and drummer Andrew Deeb. GAOT is now writing and recording a full-length record in Brooklyn. Also in 2011, he produced a full-length and served as touring guitarist for the folk band Bird Courage; collaborated with singer/songwriter Kerri Lowe, releasing an EP and appearing live at the Brooklyn Folk Festival and on the MTV series I Just Want My Pants Back, and; produced and drummed for post-punk outfit The Pet Goats. He played a role in the development of the alternative scene in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY, helping to launch the DIY venue Bushwick Music Studios and the artist group Potion Collective.
