Band MembersThe songs here were recorded with the band I had in the mid-90s (yours truly, guitar and lead vocals; John Yates, bass and vocals; Greg Skaff, guitar; Brian Doherty, drums and vocals; Sylvia Bullett, countervocal on Panglossian Shuffle). We played out as The Results, but Darlings of Oblivion, the 12-song CD we made, I put out under my then-stage name William Bern.

I have a whole new set of originals that I do solo these days (just haven't had the discipline to record them).

In the 80s I played in Cincinnati with Crazy Pete Frenzer, Tim Remmy, Ed Cox and others in the Salivators.

In the late 70s I played in Boulder, Colorado, with Lotus, featuring Craig Schmidt, Stu Cruden and Jeanette, oh, what was her last name?

And in the mid 70s in Boulder I played in an acoustic duo with Gretchen Peters; sometimes we were joined on bass by Paul Burlingame.
InfluencesWell, here's a list of cover songs I love (and am more or less prepared) to play and sing ...

The Magdalene Laundries (Joni Mitchell)

Jack Ass (Beck)

Powderfinger (Neil Young)

Lido Shuffle (Boz Scaggs)

Oh, Injury (Rasputina)

Somewhere in America (Was (Not Was))

Brass in Pocket (The Pretenders)

Spooky (The Classics IV)

Build Me Up Buttercup (The Foundations)

Make You Feel My Love; Million Miles; Trying to Get to Heaven (Bob Dylan)

All My Loving; Hey Jude; Do You Want to Know a Secret?; Good Morning, Good Morning; Lady Madonna (The Beatles)

Clubland; The Crimes of Paris; The Only Flame in Town; Alison (Elvis Costello)

My Old School; Black Friday (Steely Dan)

Higher Than That (Courtney Lee Adams Jr.)

Deal (Jerry Garcia)

Hang On Sloopy (The McCoys)

Lithium (Nirvana)

Pitiful You (Julia Greenberg)

Heard It Through the Grapevine (Marvin Gaye; Creedence Clearwater Revival)

Help Me Rhonda (The Beach Boys)

Simon the Zealot/Poor Jerusalem (Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice)

Someone to Love (Fountains of Wayne)

The Air That I Breathe (The Hollies)

Across the Great Divide (The Band)

Out of Touch (Lucinda Williams)
Type of LabelNone

Haha, true!!! I once learned the metric system conversions... and by once, I mean in second grade.

Davis and I actually usually do that song as a round when we perform it.

Congratulations on the Bill B And The Arrivals series. Can't wait to see who you bring.

Luckily, hosting a series does not negatively affect one's eligibility to play the Open Mic.

BILL, I "GOOGLED" ED COX AND GOT A
PORN SITE FEATURING MIDDLE AGED MEN
WHO PREFERED ANAL SEX WITH EARTHMOVERS
THIS GIVES A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO THE
WORD "BACKHOE"-{HOLD THE LEGATO PASS
THE PREPERATION H.} SO THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE BIGFOOT WITH A BULLDOZER IN
HIS ASS POST IT THAT WAY WE'LL ALL KNOW HOW ED IS DOING AND WHERE TO SEND
OUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE "SOCIETY FOR
THE PREVENTION OF SEXUALY ABUSED

EQUIPMENT ON MORE THAN FOUR WHEELS"
