Just li'l ol' me!....
These friends sang on the record with me: Gileah Taylor, Sarah Clifton and Joni Boyd. Chris Taylor and Bala Boyd added guitar and percussion respectively.
Influences
MUSICAL INFLUENCES:
My family had a good mix of musical styles constantly on the record player from the time I was a wee lad. Classical, jazz... My older sisters Anne and Liz were radio hounds, so I had a steady pop influence too. My older brother Beau stayed abreast of developments in good music of all types and was an excellent musician himself. I was more interested in sports (oldest brother Pat was my sports idol), but Beau taught me alot about music despite myself- how to take our little organ and make all the chords in a key signature. I learned to play ukelele and soon moved on to guitar. Mom was always willing to sing any songs I was learning. Dad always wanted me to go "plink-plunk-plunk, plink-plunk-plunk", which was his take on country music, especially Red River Valley. Once I taught my little brother Bob to play bass (selfishly wanting a bass player for a band) I soon realized I had created a Frankenstein. He far surpassed me musically, but we are still great musical chums. He wrote "If Colors Spoke" on the CD. What? That's the only one you like? I'm not surprised. I had the usual teenage ambition of being a rock-n-roll hero, but once I heard John McLaughlin and Mahavishnu Orchestra play progressive jazz-rock, I was smitten. Once I became a Christian, I went back to more of a folk style. I began putting Psalms to music. Quite a challenge. There are a couple of those on the CD too. I really like alot of modern music. I'm thankful to my daughters and students at school for introducing me to so much new music.
Sounds Like
Gileah says that I sound like a preacher man who's listened to and respected all the greats; from The Bible to The Beatles. From Bach to Mahavishnu. From King David to Elliott Smith. My music is RIYL: Nick Drake, Paul Simon....

Well, I come from a family of six. My brothers and sisters were pretty big fun. I pestered the four older ones and tormented my poor younger brother. He and I are tight buds now, though.
I married the girl from down the street (NOT from a case of laziness, mind you. Well, it was pretty convenient all the same). I have four girls of my own now. They're a pretty crazy clan, too. Only one left to marry off! (Any bids?)
Each of my daughters has followed one or another of my interests: family life, theology, soccer, music. My oldest daughter has followed most closely my interest in music, and now she's the producer for my CD! Not only that, she's really good at it! I might even sound good on this thing!
I've been a Christian school teacher for 26 years. I like to 'splain things.
I've preached for 22 years too. That's a big responsibility- claiming to represent God. Only a humble man can do it, so be sure and spit in my eye whenever you see me. (Alright, not really; maybe just call me a num-num-head or something.)
