Bill's current band, The New Migrant Workers, consists of: Joe "Teddy Bear" Mack on guitar and vocals as well as Chris "Eye Candy" Becker on mandolin and off-key vocals, and Leonard McCracken on bass.
Bill Erickson was born the son of a Swedish immigrant in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. He grew wiser and wilder than most and now resides above the Illinois River banks in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. His first release was "BLOOD MIXED WITH THE DUST" in 1998, followed up by "KOSOMA" in 2003. He is an integral part of the Red Dirt Music Scene and has shared the stage with all the legends, including Tom Skinner, Ray Wiley Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, Keith Sykes, Terry Hendrix, Lloyd Maines and many more. After an evening swapping tunes with Bill, Pat Green recorded Bill's song "Count Your Blessings" on his Grammy-nominated album "THREE DAYS." Currently, Bill has recruited Chris Becker (mandolin player raised in Oklahoma and learnt in Colorado) and Joe Mack (Okie guitarist and vocalist known world-wide for his amazing solo adventures) to be in his band, The New Migrant Workers. Look for them for they will be migrating to a venue near you.
