NPR picked up its tunes and moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
San Francisco Bay Area musician and Virginia native Bill Evans has been involved with bluegrass music and the banjo for over thirty years as a player, teacher, writer and historian. He occupies a unique niche in the banjo world: celebrated worldwide for his traditional and progressive bluegrass banjo styles as well as his original compositions, he also enjoys a reputation as an outstanding instructor as well as being an expert player of 19th century minstrel and classic/parlor banjo styles. His latest accomplishment is authoring "Banjo for Dummies" for Wiley Publications.
Bill currently performs and tours with six-time National champion fiddler Megan Lynch (www.fiddlestar.com). Their first CD "let's do something," produced by Stephen Mougin from the Sam Bush Band is now available on Native and Fine Records. The duo will perform in 20 states and in the UK and Ireland in 2009.

Heya! Yes you and Megan should defo come and do some gigs in England! SOON! :) And play THE TUNE! Can't wait. I've been doing a little bass playing at festivals/sessions but nothing properly! Work is taking up too much precious practising time! :( But I'm starting to play again and its the school holidays in a week's time so I get to do music for a whole 6 weeks! yay!
