Beth's fans describe her sound as "funky irreverent covers and edgy originals from a sick, twisted & hilarious mind, with a sound even an old blues dog might like, ... the kind of thing you might expect to get from a good ol' texas lesbian hippie-chick who’s been trapped in a man's body, ... passionate music that is hip and real, makes you laugh, cry, scratch your head, & do a happy dance all at the same time … and inspires you to be your true self!”
Influences: Led Zeppelin. SRV. Clapton. Neil Young. Dylan. Willie. Stones. Floyd. Tool. System. Luther Allison. Mance Lipscomb. Lightnin' Hopkins. And my friends, Beth Garner, Dameon & Gabe Aranda, Samantha Crain, Adam Miller, Andra Taylor, and Hannah Deason. :)Booking: roxybeast@hotmail.com

"Pretty good thought provoking Lou Reed style punk ... or something!" I love my fans! :),
"I am the bastard love child of Janis Joplin & Jim Morrison, except that one day while Jimbo took a trip in the desert, Janis was in NYC banging Lou Reed. It's all a little fuzzy from there ... and yes, I'm actually a girl! ... well, currently :),"

With a remarkably wide-variety of songs making Top 10 charts, Beth continues to add great songs to her collection. Her upcoming indie rock solo acoustic release “Aardvark” may contain some of her best work with songs like Happy & Work, and features strong writing throughout. Beth’s songs cover the gamut from psychedelic rock to pure country and have charted in every genre confronted! For example, The Good Woman Waltz, a hilarious country classic, was the 1 country song in the Texas Top 40 shortly after it was released, was voted 1 by fans at ourstage.com in Feb. 2009, and was a TAXI Top 10 favorite pick in 2008. Lube Me Tender (comedy/folk) & Misunderstood (lyrics/rock) were both Top 10 finalists in the 2008 USA Songwriting Contest! And, Vice-Presidential Blues charted 2 in the ourstage.com comedy chart in Jan. 2009. Beth has also had several songs make various Top 10 charts at broadjam.com: Camille (the little filthy skank) (grunge rock), Mountain King (psychedelic rock), Roadhouse Blues (psychedelic rock), The River Song (gospel folk), and Home (contemporary folk). Camille & VP Blues were selected for inclusion on compilation Cds. These songs and other like Katrina, All I Can Do, Fireflies, American Love Song, have also been featured & selected for airplay by various national & regional internet, community, college radio stations across America.
"I try to deliver my soul to the audience in every performance," and folks are really beginning to notice and connect. For example, in 2008 Beth, as a solo artist, has headlined a multi-artist concert for a Texas radio station and played at a music festival in Atlanta with an average 3-day attendance of over 350,000. Beth has also fronted several original & blues/rock cover bands and is one of the best frontpersons to recently emerge on the scene. Beth's voice has been described by industry A&R pros as having "a great David Bowie quality." Her performance & writing style is a cross between Neil Young & David Bowie. Put a great band behind her and she can deliver magic with the power & passion of Jim Morrison & Janis Joplin. Growing audiences love her passionate performances!
As to being transgendered, the way I think of it is ...
"I'm sort of like Neil Young with female parts! :),"
Peace out
Beth
