Bill Parton Trio is a soul, r&b and funky lounge groove musical outfit built upon a very firm mainstream jazz roots performing both original material and covers where the overall product is of a very fresh, cool, smooth and contemporary nature. The band features William Parton (vocals & keyboards), Benjamin Harrison (bass) and Andrew Partington (drums).
HOW DID BILL PARTON TRIO FORM?
The three initially met in Year 8 together back in 2001 at Brighton Secondary School where all three were awarded Special Interest Music Scholarships.
Ironically, that year a 7-piece Dixieland band was formed of which all three lads were a part of where Andrew still played the Drums however Ben played the soprano Saxophone and William played the Banjo!
In 2003, the Dixieland band dispersed and consequential to that, a mainstream jazz trio was formed which was essentially the unofficial inception of Bill Parton Trio.
In 2006 three had graduated from secondary school is when things really started to begin and become somewhat more serious….
