Bio
I began playing music publicly in the 7th grade. I performed with my first band THE IMPALAS at our talent show. We played the only song we knew, Pipeline by The Ventures. I then moved to Fremont Ca. and joined a band called THE REASONS WHY, followed by the first band to really play around the area at all called ROCK-A-DAY DAISY & THE GOODTIME BAND. I then joined the popular band at high school called COLLECTIVE WORKS and began playing in actual bars and clubs. I was then contacted by one of the most popular bands in the bay area at the time and asked to join. The band was called THE HARBINGER COMPLEX. These guys at the time were doing big shows with people like Van Morrison and Them, Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Yardbirds and other big names of the era. I jumped at the chance and about six months into it we changed our name to HELIX and were together for a few years after that. When HELIX broke up I formed my own band with my two partners Keith Swanson and Rick Hunt. The band also featured long time friend Larry Cambra on bass and Jimmy Carpenter on drums. The band was called SNEEZER and we were able to gain a bit of notariety on the local and LA scene. We toured constantly and were signed to a label and released a single(remember those) and it did pretty well in a few markets. We were fortunate enough to be coming up with other artists in the area and routinely played small clubs with bands like Eddie Money, the Doobie Bros., Huey Lewis, Mountain, Joe Cocker, Canned Heat and lots of others. SNEEZER broke up when our lead vocalist left to join reggae band INNER CIRCLE ( bad boys bad boys watcha gonna do ). He recorded one album with them and returned to the bay area and we formed THE REMINGTON-HUNT BAND. That band lasted a few years. We then put together a cover band doing only 60's music called LITTLE DADDY. It was a blast and we got to open for alot of my childhood faves. All of which were on the way down or making a comeback.I now perform on weekends with my band Jukebox Heroes doing covers from the 60's to present day. I recorded my solo CD with my old friend Gary Cambra and some friends. These are all my songs and I had no outlet for them with my cover bands, although we are going to begin doing some in our live shows soon. My hope with this site is to find other people with similar interests, be exposed to thier music, and let them hear mine. I'm hoping to have my songs reviewed by my peers, honestly, good, bad or indifferent. To everyone who took the time to read this, thank you, peace and love, Bill -
