Grace. When singer/songwriter Bill Steely says that word, he feels so unworthy. God's grace was poured out on him in March 05'.
Steely grew up in church all his life but resisted God and rebelled until the age of nineteen. He was then saved by Jesus Christ and His Grace. Being a young Christian Steely thought he could conquer his rebellious nature, but not so. He found himself back in the same places again.
Bill's passion for music has always been there. Almost like breathing. He played every barn house, outhouse and dive around trying to get the big break. After years of dealing with AR Crooks, Attitudes, and Band Mates with addictions, Steely found himself one night faced with a life and death decision. God's Grace intervened and protected him. He came home to his beautiful wife and 3 children, and slid his guitar under the bed. After 15 years of trying, the dream was over.
March 2005 Steely brought his father-in-law home with liver cancer and had been given only 3 weeks to live. He wasn't sure if this was the right decision, but felt God was leading him. This was truly life changing! God showed the true meaning of existence through this experience. After being a Christian for 16 years, the Lord put Steely in a position to witness to his father-in-law. As one tear flowed down a man's face, Bill finally got it. GRACE. God's Grace is the gift of JESUS CHRIST. The acceptance of eternal salvation. The only thing God asks in return is for us to tell others about Him and His Grace.
Bill knows that his father-in-law was saved that day. Several hours later Steely's father-in-law left us and touched the face of God. "God brought me closer to him over the next couple of months through devotions and prayer," states Steely. November of 05' God gave him a song and he pulled out his guitar and started singing and writing again. Not for himself, but for the Kingdom.
As Bill continues to sing songs in churches, venues, and public events, his music is being heard across the country as well. As over 170 stations, Christian and Country, have picked up his single "Rather have you"and his video for this song, as well as the video for "Bother Me", continue to play on the Gospel Music Channel. This song "Bother Me" which speaks to the relevance of people becoming numb to the things of this world, such as poverty, violence, and out of work citizens, for whom, if bothered individually, we as a nation could make a difference in a child or persons life, spark his motivation to sing to the lost. With his single continuing to climb charts on the Christian Country Power Source Top 20 fans are sure to get his country, rock, sound and dig his music.

God has called him for a greater purpose and he wants to honor the call and Praise our Lord and Savior.
