Billy Death had its humble roots in 1989, created as an aggressive response to an over-Jazzed Berklee environment. Aside from forging overwrought jazz standards into metallic confusion, Billy Death reflects the crush of modern city life. After just one live performance, and some demo recordings, Drew left the original 3-guitar lineup. Rather than replace him with another guitarist, the band brought in Dan to play keys. After another more sophisticated demo was completed and another one begun, the band split in early 1992.
The second solo in EVHGHERWF is a sample of the vocal track from Flesh Market in Dan's Ensoniq EPS16+ and looped in a very strange fashion. If you listen closely, you can hear the beginning of the phrase "my wallet" at the end of the solo.
