Billy Flux is the persona chosen to express some of my artistic sides. It all started at a gaf called Taburete. I have been playing my record collection in different bars and venues since I was 18 and I haven't had many complaints about it (well, I had some cava corks aimed at me not long ago by some angry nurses demanding to hear merengue). I have played in several bands that never got anywhere further from lots of fun. I play guitar with The Black Thousand Band now, and we have lots of fun. I have always been a fan of rock and roll understood in a wider sense, in the sense of those who see the world with an open mind, in the sense of those who refuse to tell the line imposed by tradition, in the sense of those who will always have a reason to look for the good in everything. You will hear me play anything that I feel like, as long as it flows, as long as there is a connection with the audience. I avoid dj egos: having good music and wanting to show it to others is my only aim. My place has always been in the chillouts, have a smoke, make a joke, and go back to the thumping room, or smoky bars with a small, lo-fi audience, but always with a desire to fit everywhere and find round corners on my way. Billy Flux es la persona elegida por mí para expresar algunas de mis facetas artísticas. Todo empezó en un tugurio llamado Taburete. He ido paseando mi colección de discos por distintos bares y locales desde los 18 y todavía no me han tirado nada (bueno, hace poco me volaron un par de tapones de cava cerca de la cabeza disparados por un grupo de enfermeras enfadadas que exigían escuchar merengue). He tocado en varios grupos que nunca llegaron a nada más que a divertirse un montón. Ahora toco la guitarra con The Black Thousand Band, y nos divertimos un montón. Siempre he sido un amante del rocanrol entendido en el sentido más amplio, en el sentido de aquellos que contemplan el mundo con la mente abierta, en el sentido de aquellos que se niegan a aceptar las directrices impuestas por la tradición, en el sentido de aquellos que siempre tendrán una razón para buscar lo bueno en todo. Se me oirá pichar cualquier cosa que se me pase por la cabeza, siempre que fluya, siempre que exista una conexión con la audiencia. Huyo del ego del dj: coleccionar música y un deseo de que otros la compartan contigo es mi único fin. Mi lugar siempre ha estado en los chillouts, echar unas caladas, reirnos un rato y de vuelta a la pista que retumba, o en aquellos bares llenos de humo con una pequeña audiencia de gente que busca lo mismo que tú, y siempre con un deseo latente de no desencajar y no encontrar esquinas ni aristas en mi camino.
