The movie Running with Scissors is totally outstanding.Echoed emotionally with my family survival. I watch lots of new stuff all the time Neil Youngs 'Heart of Gold' concert & George Harrisons Tribute were great.I thought Black Snake Moan was a good little parable on abuse plus Hustle & Flow, The Kingdom was full of action.I like to watch women like Scarlet Johanssen,Charlize Theron,Penelope Cruz and many more 'act'... They're all very easy on the eye and in fact I really like many of the modern actresses; so many are just terrific. *Movie wise I prefer...[I forget most of them]...Good acting,Funny, touching life affirming stories....However I do like action, Sci-Fi, blood guts, Psycho murder, Monsters, Crime Trash, Japanese sword play, Kung Fu assassians, Asian street Gangs, Chinese Epics,.... Owned and manipulated by by the 'corporate overlords'...Well hmmm...I have a shameful love hate relationship with it. I could easily live with out it, instead go out more, visit people, make love,...do stuff...yet I do like zoning into a 'kip' watching movies on the DVD, *[I am still curious about blood and violence for some reason, what is that..] ? I can be addictive. I actually, really like the idea of Pirate TV...on the net. So this is what I watch on television.........************************************I mainly enjoy to watch music related programs, documentaries, education and arts programs. In Australia we've SBS which is station without a multitude of commercialism and it runs uninterrupted intelligent programs of world content, doco's, cult film, foreign language and much more. *******************************I intensely, really dislike cheap nasty shameing reality shows and the morons that go on them, the true crime murder doco's are pretty gross entertainment ?, I cringe at horribly bad taste exploitative talent [Idol] shows (obviously I'm not as intrigued as most the general public], greedy game shows, Big Brother [foock me.. how 'bout Big Bro. in the slums of Rio with no weapons, now that'd be interesting], Hate boring Facist Cops and courts shit, Medical hysteria, home shows, cooking and possibly 80 % of the american murderous garbage we are fed.
Oh and then theres the wars, drug wars in the USA [racist generational abuse]wars of the heart, wars on the news, advertising wars...policy wars, stockmarket wars. However disgustingly, what can get me in is all the 'well written' autopsy dramas, how appropiate. Oh and I gotta say that sports programmes bore the hell outta me, I find competitive sports very sad and way over rated. Chasing balls seems very stupid to me. It's all a huge waste of money which can be used for human purposes, just another way to keep the masses dull. Basically it all amounts to western societies decadent glutteny. The West I think will pay the piper one day, for us all turning our heads away from the real issues in life...Peace, love, war and poverty.

Cold Comfort Farm, Australian classics...'For the term..., Poor Fellow my country etc, I read all that hippie beat sci fi stuff :Fear & loathing.. all the beat stuff...Koolaid acid test, Kurt V, Charles Bukowski, Zen and the art of motorcycle maintainence, Supernature, Even cowgirls get the blues blah blah, now days however I mainly read graffetti and ...ton's of retro rock books and stuff, Hey...*Conversations with God was inspired...oh you know... all sortsa bullshit. ***Actually I'm much more of a 'Magazine' reader, Uncut, Mojo, Juxtapose, Q...I do however really like non fiction...anthropological, civilisation and Amazon, African culture, Australian jungle Barrier reef, island, animal stuff. Totally into...Art books of all sorts . Lot's of Blues music culture and history books. Huge compilations of Old Sherlock Holmes mysteries, short stories, murder thrillers, Women who Kill, Weird shit, Horror and ghost stories. BBBBBUT...I'm mainly interested in Music.. music... music... art images art images art....
Heroes
I think the people who have 'kindly helped me' in my life are my favorite hero's. I think it's the 'anonymous hero's' battling their day to day issues; willingly with courage that I admire most. Good ol' 'Fred Hollows' , Ian Kiernen, types are pretty cool or the protesters in our abused forests, they get up off their arses and do it !! I also can only marvel at the people who help out in disaster and fucked up war situations overseas, or the ordinary volounteers that help feed the hungry and destitute. I think also it's the doctors and nurses who shoulder alot of our societies hardships. Having said that most of my other hero's are dead. I see the 'soldier/policeman class' as more security guard, 'pyscho' than hero. I don't like the 'hero's' held up 'patriotically to inspire the nation'eg: sports, power obsessives and political porkers..

Since then I've enjoyed playing lot's of gigs[meeting lots of nice people] and all sorts of groovy things have happened including playing with The Stiffies [blasting out your speakers about now] as support to bands like Radio Birdman,Dallas Crane, Airborne & The Goons of Doom etc.*Steve Stiffie is married [to Bryns sister Carolyn !!!].They're now living up in Alstonville [beautiful spot on top o'mountain]. So now we are gigging less... however we're still at it with new shit about to happen any century now. *Stop Press:Bryn Stiffie has married Amy. Which is very scarey indeed cos' there be 'little Stiffies' popping out of the [opposite to a Stiffie]?.. soon? Meanwhile....folks.. The Delta Amps gig regularly..[locally and last year in The Newcastle Blues Festival].We are busy playing house parties and special events, markets etc.
The 'NEW' combo is with Ex Radio Birdman bassist Warwick Gilbert on guitar & Julienne Mostyn [ex Kamikazzi Kids/Flaming Hands]it's great fun. They are excellent 'blues' performers. *************************

[2005]- I most fortunately, live in a beautiful safe place by a glistening creek a walk from the beach & jetty. This place has Koalas, possums, various snakes, flocks of parrots and even the occasional wallaby. I love the water, waterfalls etc. I could stay submerged all day; I'm an Aquarian, I enjoy snorkle diving underwater and getting into the amazing surf as much as possible.
I have an wonderful large art studio downstairs, to splash paint onto canvas and a big old house filled with music, huge vinyl record collection, cd's, mini discs, 78's, tapes, old bullet mikes, amps, instruments and music mags, books etc.
Presently I play in three 'groovy' bands. I really enjoy being a part of these performance collaborations.
My main (money) gig is The Delta Amps [a great little 'Memphis boogie style' blues harmonica show]. I sing and play harp with around six hours of music to present. It's a very adaptable collective of five or so blues players. I hire it out as Duo, Trio or House- Rockin' Full-tilt Blues Band. We love playing at house parties, festivals and in cool venues.
Then theres The Stiffies, the gnarliest wildest little surf punk rock gig in town. The Stiffies are the drunkest, stinkiest, vomitiest, ugliest, most emotional 'boy band' I've ever played with..."born to explode" could be Ryans motto? I am permanently deaf and have a bleeding nose when I sleep. [By the way they seem quite shy ]... Bryn [who thinks Keith Moon is his Dad], I noticed was reading a 'South Pacific romance novel' whilst awaiting rehearsal recently ? Pete (MIA) and I are both into Knitting, cooking soups and sexual Kundelini. Ryan [songyboy genius] is a practising Nazi Jehovahs Witness [he likes meeting people and being chased by dogs]. Stevie who is now regularly being 'stiffed' also is a *Ze Robotman.
