In the spring of 1998, Billy got the job, playing lead guitar and sharing the singing duties for E Streeter Clarence Clemons Band called "The Temple Of Soul". Their special guests have included Bruce Springsteen and Little Steven. The Temple Of Soul were featured as the "house" band for the 2000 and 2001 ESPY Awards on ESPN! A four show run at Asbury Park's famous "Stone Pony" was recorded live in September 2001. The release date was November 5, 2001 and entitled, "Live In Asbury Park, Volume 1". "Live in Asbury Park, Volume 2" was released in January of 2004, featuring Bruce Springsteen.
Billy is from Hialeah, Florida and a graduate of Hialeah High School. He has done work on projects like Love Your Neighbor, a Miami grass roots campaign for which Billy wrote the theme song, and for his workshops at the University of Miami, that demonstrate the powerful therapy that music provides. One of Billy's songs, Stranger in My House, reflects the betrayal of parental violence, the accompanying loss of ones spirit and the regaining of ones soul, through music.

Currently, you can catch Billy, on tour as lead singer and guitarist in the band SLOW RiDE with original Foghat bass player Tony Stevens. This band features guitarist Tommy Hall and former Foghat drummer Eddie Zyne. Their first CD "Join Together" was released on Oct. 30th, 2007, featuring five songs written by Billy Livesay.
The CD was produced by "Slow Ride" , mixed by Steve Gordon (Betty Wright, Rob Thomas, Zakk Wilde) and mastered by Michael Fuller ( Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, The Eagles).
