It was William Shakespeare that once remarked, "My words fly up, my thoughts remain below: Words without thoughts never to heaven go." Whatever one's view of heaven happens to be, (I myself am intrigued by the mystery of it all, and by the unanswered questions of space and time), this immortal statement is a perfect complement to the type of music and message that I wish to share with the world. My head is forever in the clouds, and yet my feet are planted firmly here upon the ground, determined to make the most of my time here on this planet by dedicating myself to the service of others. The words and music that pour forth from my soul are a reflection of this, and display an adoration and respect for Mother Earth, a need to help heal the pains of the human condition, and a desire to help others understand that the concept of true love, of loving another so deeply that it shakes the very fabric of time itself, remains alive and well in the heart of each and every dreamer...
In an age where the old model of music is beginning to crumble, independent musical artists are taking the world by storm, and there is more opportunity now than ever before for musicians to take control of their own careers and share their music with the world on their own terms and in their own unique ways. In addition to this, we have now come to a time in our history where many are beginning to realize the long-term effects of our sometimes careless ways. We are questioning everything, and many are now stepping forward to lead the way into the next phase of our history. Where this will lead us, no one can tell for sure, but this much is certain: Each of us can make a difference, no matter how small, by doing the little things each and every day that will matter in the long run, such as supporting local charities and small businesses, understanding the basics of fair trade and sustainable food supplies, recycling, and fostering a sense of cultural understanding and tolerance. We may live in a fast-paced society, but stopping every now and again to reflect upon ourselves and the world around us can go a long way in our efforts to build a better world, one person at a time...
The roads that each of us travels down in life are as diverse as the universe itself. Our footsteps lead us onward, through good times and bad. I feel that, along the way, it is important for us not to forget the simple things in life: A beautiful poem, a sweet-smelling garden, a babbling forest brook, the sound of the wind whistling through the trees, or whatever it is that happens to touch your soul in that deepest and most profound of ways. I choose to see life as an adventure: The road opens up before us, and each of us should be free to journey down whatever paths we choose. It is this basic freedom that is at the very heart of humanity, and as an artist, I wish to share with you a sense of my own unique adventures. And so I give to you my gift of music. May it serve as a source of comfort and inspiration. Feel free to write to me and share your thoughts and views, for I take an interest in each and every person that is intrigued by what I am doing.
