As of the time of this writing (December 2007) the core members of the Kooltones, Marty, Jeff and Andy have been together for 28 years. Over the years we have been supplemented by a 4th member starting with Dan Pettis on keyboards 1980-81, Jon Lindahl on guitar and vocals 1980-81 and 2003-present, Marty Albers, guitar,vocals 1988 and 1990-91, Dean Gleason on guitar and vocals 1995-2000.
We started off as a novelty act in 1979 doing nothing but 50's rock n roll. Dressing up and being characters but we were noticed by a local promoter who booked us in the club circuit on a regular basis. As time went on we threw off the novelty and concentrated more on perfecting the material we were covering. Now we have over 400 songs that we've performed over the years !
Currently Jon Lindahl has been with us since 2003 and we continue to enjoy great success due to our loyal following of friends, fans and family.
Marty It's Tim from Flashpoint. I'm checking to see when the Cooltones are at Hings and we are not playing. You guys are my wife Lil's favorite band. I really tried to get myself to come last night to Argay.....heat was too much for me! Sorry! It's the first one I've missed in awhile and I'm really mad at the weather! I wish I wasn't such a heataphobic!!!!!!!
