Bergen Internasjonale Musikkfestival ble arrangert for første gang i fjor som et supplement til Internasjonal Uke i Bergen. Alle involverte leverte langt over det vi hadde håpet på og vi håper å gjenta suksessen i år. Vi åpner 24 oktober på Røkeriet og avslutter 31 oktober samme sted. Ellers i uken blir det konserter både på Ole Bull, BIKS/Fensal og Torgallmenningen.

Bergen International Music Festival, BIMF, is a yearly festival in Bergen that showcases a large variation of musical genres and expressions, with music and musicians that cross borders, both geographically and musically. The festival is being arranged for the second time this year and along with its predecessor, The World Music Festival in Bergen, works toward making Bergen a meeting place for artists and music from the whole world.
BIMF focuses upon the variation of musical expression and we are proud to present a varied program with internationally relevant artists, including many of Bergen’s talented musicians. We look forward to a diverse week of music featuring Tuvan throat singing, tango from Bergen and Trondheim, improvised chamber music, Palestinian rap, Serbian world music and Indian-European dance. BIMF invites all of Bergen to the festival!
