that all sounds pretty positive. I`d be interested on some reviews on my songs, but in the end, I truly believe it`s how you feel about them yourself. i don`t mean be blind to everyones opinion, but if you have faith in them, then go with that. It seems to me there are so many people out there these days. Who feel it`s cool to focus on the negative, & prefer to pump themselves up by jumping on you/me everyone! So I chose to listen to what people who`s opinion I respect, & take what I feel I need from them, but always only if they have something that helps. Yeah, still plodding along, almost ready to start mixing & mastering the new Album. i got a couple of old songs i wanna put a couple of bits on. So should be done the early part of next year. Recorded few new ones this year. "Maybe something else" "Arm round me" "Northern star" "Dreams & tears" They`ve been a form of therapy for me. So that`s a good thing aye! How you coping?
Hey Martin!! I'm so sorry, I'm just reply back to everyone-been working lots I haven't even been able to fit in my own music, which is not good. Gotta pay those silly bills :( I have a little time tomorrow night and will try my best to check it out and see what I can do. How's your weekend so far?
That sounds cool - myspace mail the time signature and timing, concept/what you're trying to convey, and lyrics and I'll add some stuff you could use to either inspire you or keep. :)
lol - thanks for commenting on my allergies! Yes my headache is gone. I also have family in town and I've been working and running around with them and cleaning...y'know how it is... :) Music is so much fun, but when I practice/play, time flies--eek!
If you think that you are. It..s called negative self speak. If you don..t believe no one will. Shoulders back chin out, coz youèr gonna take it on the chin more often than not, but you have me & from the comments I..ve seen, plenty of others who believe in you. You had the right idea, getting a pretty young girl singing your songs. Look at Stock, Aitkin & Waterman. Not the best song writers, but they managed to get plenty of pretty young things singing for them. Just starting with Kylie. Just a thought!
And another thing, why not stick an advert in the local paper, or a trade mag. The fame is always gonna be fleeting, but with the money you can do as you wish, & still put the songs out there how you want them. Let the pretty things put their interpretation on it, & you get the best of both worlds. F%&k the fame Mart, if I can find someone who can have a run of hits & a couple of Album successes. the only thing that..ll change, is I..ll be able to do more & more often in the studio. Just another thought. By the way. I..m the one who..s supposed to be suffering from depression. So as I heard in Kelly..s hero..s "enough with the negative waves, man"
