I mostly make music with my friend luke t. our stuff has a way crazier sound than what's up on this page. this is just all of my solo ramblings. we do a few of these songs, but if you know luke's voice, you know it truly adds with him singing and playing. we want to collaborate with anyone who'd like to. once we finish recording, we are going to make a new music page. i'll put it here when it's ready.
when I was stuck on i-15 like 80 miles north of SLC, I was gettin down on singin "your others" like 20 times in a row ha. Rad tunes niki. Seriously hooked me up with so much hospitality which can never be forgotten along with your righteous personality and crazy music talent. Miss you very much. Hope you are stoked on your future. I am chillin in Salem Oregon right now. and jacob is supposed to be back on the road. What's up my boooy
You are lovely! Thanks fore being our friend. We miss fo co already but are having a blast. Come down to denver when we get back and we will sing songs!
all these new songs are very good, really. especially "to the whaling ships" (the melody is just beautiful) and "turn table". and "you can lead a mare to water" is beautiful. (and the mouth-made trumpet of "da souf" is very funny). maybe somebody already made this lazy comparaison, but your music reminds me of early cat power in a way. but with way more joy, a lo-fi sound and a ukulele. and i love early cat power, joy, lo-fi and ukulele. so... yeah, great new songs, bravo, bravo.
Sorry to spam you, we know it's lame. But, we're releasing our debut CD Zugenruhe this Friday (May 22nd) at Avogadro's Number right here in Fort Collins, and we would really love to see you there! The show starts at 9pm and is all ages and only costs $3. There will be an afterparty to be announced at the show. Thanks for putting up with our shameless self promotion. We really hope you can make it. -Alana, Brett & Erin (Stella Luce)
to (finally) answer your question...i saw nana grizol a couple months ago in philly and met a few of them. some of those kids are in the athens version of folklore (the band i'm in in philly). so, i may have met him, but i don't know him well or anything.
