Robin Sommer (23), a.k.a. BIN (his dad started calling him Bin at the age of three), was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he also grew up. When he was eightteen he moved to Amsterdam where he discovered the nightlife.
He started working at Studio 80, now a wellknown and respected club. Starting out as a videojockey on the M.U.L.T.I.S.E.X.I. parties he started to know people and got his network together. After a while he got the chance to start as a DJ and took the uppertunity with both hands. Every wednesday he played on a night called F*cking Pop Queers, a very popular electropopparty. This all started it, it went fast. Robin became resident DJ on the M.U.L.T.I.S.E.X.I. parties, instead of a resident VJ.
The Milliondollarkids, an infamous group of freaky friends, "club kids", started to throw parties and BIN -since he was one of them by that time- also became a resident on these underground parties.
After some time of getting bigger en better he got to know Chris Julien and Bernardo Gaeiras (The Heykids Deejays) which were planning a new night in Studio 80, Katapult, and other parties around town. Katapult took over F*cking Pop Queers and so BIN kept on playing on wednesdays.
New is the party at club Trouw, BAF, an openminded dark electro/techno party with weird performances. Here aswell BIN is a resident and the party -eventhough it's new- is booming.
Besides his residencies "the bat" also plays on other parties. No night (or day) is safe for his haunted house.

    12 november vieren we in de Melkweg de verjaardag van Crackhouse, het feestje dat alweer 3 jaar oud wordt!

    Natuurlijk pakken we daarbij extra uit, we hebben namelijk DJ Rush die een disco en Chicagohouseset komt draaien!



    Daarnaast zullen Brent Roozendaal, Aron Friedman en Carlos Valdes als resident Crackers hun plaatjes draaien!

De tweede druk van het boek ligt inmiddels bij de drukker en wordt eind oktober verwacht.     Zaterdag 26 september is het alweer de laatste zaterdag van de maand en dit betekent weer een nieuwe editie van AMSTEREO in de FLEX BAR. Met opnieuw een veelbelovende buitenlandse act en natuurlijk weer de vaste DJ’s, zullen die samen gaan zorgen voor een avondje ouderwets losgaan!

    Deze maand is het de beurt aan HEY TODAY! die erg aan het opkomen zijn de laatste tijd door hun frisse electro sound. Het Duitse duo heeft al remixes mogen maken voor Digitalism en Zombie Nation, maar heeft ook eigen releases op het Franse Kitsuné label uitgebracht. Hun carrière neemt op dit moment een vogelvlucht en ze treden dan ook in elke grote Europese stad op. Nu voor het eerst in Nederland zullen ze hun muziek aan jullie laten horen en de tent afbreken. 

    Daarnaast de vaste DJ’s van Amstereo beginnend bij het duo BEESMUNT SOUNDSYSTEM. Binnen Amsterdam bijna geen introductie meer nodig en hun ster is nog steeds rijzende. Ze draaien alles, maar met één ding gemeen; je moet er op kunnen losgaan. Van Boys Noize tot Afrojack en van The Proxy tot knallers uit de jaren 80, kortom een set vol energie waar niemand bij stil kan blijven staan.
    Het derde duo THE WALK & ROGERSEVENTYTWO, bekend van onder andere Rauw, voorlopers van de Franse scene en zijn niet vies van de ouderwetse filter house. Dit aangevuld met rauwe electro en techno met een fris randje, maakt hun set altijd een genoegen om naar te luisteren.
