WE ARE BIPOLAR BADWISE.
THANKS to iRiver for their ivemadeit.com.au competition! Buy an Australian iRiver player in 2009 to hear our featured track.
Heavily influenced by both the Australian electro scene and the pioneers of first-wave electro, we are a young, bright and eager Melbournian three-piece. Holding a deep-seated passion for music, Bondy, James and Brent gradually formed in early 2007 into what we now know is Bipolar Badwise. Listen to our music, enjoy the shiny sounds of synthesizers, and joyfully rediscover the true emotion of electronic music.

"The first track is Pinktricity and it stands out for its powerful synthesised bass which always grabs me straight away. The vocals on the track are perfect for that live electro sound - deep yet melodic and they also use the help of a vocoder for the break down. The track seems to be superbly mastered so there might be some serious electronic brains behind this outfit.
The next track “Sacrifice” starts with a melody which reminds me almost of Kavinsky - an 80’s computerised hero tune to get you through trouble. Yet where Kavinsky lacks in vocals Bipolar Badwise makes up with another outstanding vocal track and smooth break downs which build to happy endings." -A DEROGATORY TERM
"...You’ll be hearing a lot of them in the future. Sounding a bit like the love child of Cut Copy, Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys (which is convenient, as they list their influences as just that), they continue a trend of excellent Australian bands who all possess that signature sound." - Techno Jihad
"We are loving this tremendous trio! Melbourne is producing some amazing artists and Bipolar Badwise are definitely a name to listen out for." - Musical Narcotics
"These guys have really struck a chord with me. I rarely blog bands. I mainly stick to the dj-producer types and remixes of bands that I would normally play in clubs. But the music of Bipolar Badwise is both infectious, hypnotic and something I MUST blog about.
The very talented boys from Melbourne are in the Triple J Unearthed competition and doing really well. With the thumping bass lines, heavy synths and soaring vocals, I see Bipolar Badwise going far." - Trashbags Kids
"I went to their myspace, and immediately fell in love with all their tracks, there was something about their electro/pop sound that stood out...Each track has brilliant vocals that most people can relate too, and a very nice synthy/base sound which just adds to the tracks". - I'm A Deckhead
'This three-piece combined eighties goth pop, a la The Cure with Pac Man-esque bleeps and electronic beats. So much so that they even looked like they were the fifth/sixth/seventh members of the Clash... Sonically, this three-piece were a perfect match for Dukes of Windsor'. - Review w/Dukes of Windsor, 20/03/09
'This energetic electro outfit delivered a uniquely retro sound with sharp addictive melodies in the promising future dance anthem Sacrifice, following through with an ethereal instrumental Midnight Transit Through Amazonia accompanied by the most enchanting guitar line of the night.' - Review w/ Grafton Primary, 24/04/09
