Lance and Martin met in 1990 when the former was with south coast indie band the Spoons. Martin was to join as guitarist but popped out of the studio to buy some fags and the two would not meet again until 2006 at an Ian Brown gig.
Martin played with Dorset legends Rhythm Method and worked recording and playing live with
several artists before climbing aboard the Jag.
The Spoons signed to Adrian Lillywhites Tunnel label and were produced by both Adrian and Steve Lillywhite. The single Show Me How featured on Radio One selling over 6,000 copies and the Video on MTV. The band split and became the Bewley Brothers. Releasing the Single 'Spinning on a Time Bomb' and the Albums 'Songs from the Cypress Tree and 'Baby Six'. Living and playing in London, the band played with the Kinks, PJ Harvey, Bush, Baby Bird, Dodgy, Tom Robinson etc etc.
Lance also wrote several songs for the Ch 4 TV series 'High Five' and Brit Movies 'Out Of Depth' Starring Sean Maguire, Nicholas Ball and Rita Tushingham and 'Time Bomb' was chosen for the title track to the Movie 'Loop' starring Andy Serkis and Susannah York.
Basha originally played with The Tours, Polly Harvey, Bassinger and Glow (with Lance) Moved back form London around the same time as Lance and joined the band in 2007.
Eric played with The Vapours (Turning Japaneese) and also Hipster, The Tree Frogs and mod rockers the Curtains. Eric joined Bird Jaguar on bass in 2007. Also adding harmonies and production skills.
